Von Bach Dam Resort:
This was our first overnight resort after flying into Windhoek and hiring a vehicle which luckily was upgraded to an MuX 4 wheel drive.
Hobatere Lodge, Otjovasandu:
The lodge is situated in a concession area of 8 808 hectares, which is home to a rich diversity of game, including elephant and lion. It is situated on the Banks of the Otjovasandu River
Late afternoon we were taken for a short drive to find the pride of lions in the riverbed by Martin the Lodge Guide.
Etosha National Park:
Dolomite Camp, Western Etosha:
The next day, we took a morning drive to some of the waterholes in the area (see map).
Tne next morning after breakfast we left Dolomite Camp for the 174km drive through the Park to Okaukuejo Camp.
First stop on the trip was at Olifantsrus Campsite:
Okaukuejo Camp:
That evening’s viewing at the floodlit Oaukuejo waterhole:
The next morning after a morning walk around the camp and breakfast, on our way back to the chalet, we found 2 staff members waiting at our parked hired car which now had a flat left rear tyre. They offered to change it for us and have it repaired at the small Camp Garage, which they did and were generously rewarded.
After that we took a drive down to Gemsbokvlakte water hole.
Back in Okaukuejo Camp at the waterhole.
Some of the evening visitors at the floodlit waterhole that day:
